Nelson Deedle, a Universal Autograph Collector’s Club registered dealer, is a leading expert on entertainment memorabilia. In addition to dealing autographs and other collectibles, Nelson Deedle has served the estate of Elliott Roosevelt as an archivist.
Elliott Roosevelt, son of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt, lived from 1910 to 1990. The Roosevelts’ third child, Elliott was known for his remarkably varied career. He started in the communications field as manager of the Hearst radio operation in 1933. At the time of the Second World War, Elliott served as an army photo reconnaissance pilot and a military aide to his father, the sitting president, on travels to the 1943 Casablanca meeting and the conferences in Cairo and Tehran later that same year.
Later on, Elliott raised Arabian horses in Portugal, and was elected mayor of Miami Beach, Florida, holding the office from 1965 to 1967. He also worked to publish non-fiction books about the lives of his parents and authored a series of mystery novels.
