A memorabilia and autograph expert with decades of experience in the field, Nelson Deedle has worked with a variety of high-profile clients, including Michael Jackson and Elizabeth Taylor. Nelson Deedle also helped Elizabeth Taylor promote AIDS education in public schools with the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation (ETAF).
Established in 1991, the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation is dedicated to funding AIDS organizations, education, and research across the globe, as well as providing assistance to people with the disease. Because the ETAF’s operating costs are completely funded by the Elizabeth Taylor Trust, 100 percent of donations go toward furthering the foundation’s goal of helping people with HIV/AIDS. In recent years, the ETAF has funded projects delivering HIV/AIDS supplies in Uganda, operating a mobile clinic for women with HIV in Zambia, supporting prevention and testing efforts in Indonesia, and providing medical supplies and food in Texas.
To qualify, grant applicants must follow the foundation’s guidelines. Groups must not request more than the maximum annual grant amount of $50,000. Additionally, applicant organizations must have at least eight years of experience with HIV/AIDS and cannot submit more than one application a year.
